Three clubs ‘agree loan deal for Donny van de Beek’

As many as three clubs have agreed a loan deal with Manchester United for midfielder Donny van de Beek, according to a report.

The Dutchman has found his playing time extremely limited since moving to Old Trafford in the summer of 2020 for around £35m from Ajax.

After seeing a move to Everton break down last summer, the 24-year-old was left to fight for his place at United, but has rarely featured under both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick so far this campaign.

In recent days, the midfielder has reiterated his desire to leave Manchester after a series of broken promises, and is keen to secure regular game time ahead of a potential World Cup tournament with the Netherlands at the end of the year.

Although Crystal Palace were said to be favourties to secure a temporary deal for Van de Beek until the end of the season, Manchester Evening News are reporting that another Premier League club, as well as an overseas side, are also in the running after agreeing terms with United.

A final decision has now been left to the player, whose weekly wage of £120,000 per week will need to be covered in full by his new side, and who will also have to stump up a loan fee if they get their man.
