Paris Saint-Germain’s Sergio Ramos to miss Real Madrid first leg?

Paris Saint-Germain‘s Sergio Ramos will reportedly miss out on a reunion with Real Madrid in next month’s Champions League last-16 first leg.

The 35-year-old has consistently struggled for fitness since making the move to the Parc des Princes last summer, featuring just five times for Les Parisiens in all competitions.

Ramos scored his first goal for the club in a 4-0 Ligue 1 thrashing of Reims on January 23, but Mauricio Pochettino subsequently revealed that the centre-back had suffered a fresh calf problem and will miss Monday’s Coupe de France battle with Nice.

Now, Marca reports that it will be “practically impossible” for Ramos to play against his former club on February 15, as Real Madrid make the journey to Paris for the first leg.

However, the 180-cap Spain international will hope to return in time for the second leg at the Bernabeu on March 9, making his return to the Spanish capital after registering 101 goals in 671 games for Los Blancos.

Ramos has only started two Ligue 1 games for PSG this season and had to wait until November 28 to make his debut for the club against Saint-Etienne due to his previous long-term calf issue.
