Manchester United ‘leading the race for Boubacar Kamara’

Manchester United ‘leading the race for Boubacar Kamara’

Manchester United are reportedly at the head of the queue for Marseille midfielder Boubacar Kamara.

The 22-year-old’s contract with his French club is due to expire at the end of June, and it appears increasingly unlikely that he will be signing an extension.

Kamara has been linked with a cut-price January exit, with Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich said to be closely monitoring the situation surrounding the Frenchman.

However, according to Marca, Man United have ‘positioned themselves best’ to sign the midfielder, who is believed to be valued by his Ligue 1 club in the region of €10m (£8.3m).

Marseille are allegedly keen to sell Kamara this month rather than lose him for nothing at the end of the campaign, and Ralf Rangnick‘s side are at the head of the queue for his signature.

The France Under-21s international has again been an important player for Les Olympiens during the 2021-22 campaign, making 24 appearances in all competitions.
