Manchester City ‘will battle Barcelona, Real Madrid for Erling Braut Haaland’

Manchester City are reportedly refusing to give up on the battle to sign Erling Braut Haaland during this summer’s transfer window.

The Norway international will have a £68m release clause in his Borussia Dortmund contract at the end of the season and is widely expected to leave his German club in search of pastures new.

Various reports have claimed that the 21-year-old wants to move to Spain, with Barcelona and Real Madrid both in the mix to sign him during this summer’s transfer window.

However, Man City have also been strongly linked with the centre-forward, and according to The Athletic, the Premier League champions are still determined to sign him.

The report claims that the Citizens are hopeful of changing Haaland’s mind in the coming months, having identified him as the ideal player to lead their attack.

Haaland has scored 23 goals and registered six assists in 20 appearances for BVB this season despite missing a period of the campaign due to a hip problem.
