Leicester City, Everton, Aston Villa ‘monitoring Jesse Lingard situation’

Leicester City, Everton and Aston Villa are all reportedly keeping a close eye on Jesse Lingard‘s situation at Manchester United ahead of the winter transfer deadline.

A proposed loan move to Newcastle United has seemingly broken down due to Man United’s demands, with the club said to want a £12m survival bonus included in the agreement.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils are allegedly not prepared to let the England international join Tottenham Hotspur or West Ham United due to their status as top-four rivals.

Lingard is still expected to leave the club before the end of the month, though, and according to the Manchester Evening News, three more Premier League clubs are keeping an eye on the situation.

The report claims that Leicester, Everton and Aston Villa have all emerged as potential suitors for the 29-year-old, who has struggled for regular action this term despite impressing during a loan spell at West Ham in the second half of last season.

Lingard has entered the final six months of his contract with Ralf Rangnick‘s side and is allegedly open to moving abroad on a free transfer this summer.
