Juventus, Inter Milan ‘ready to move for Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic’

Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Juventus and Inter Milan.

Pulisic is currently representing USA at the World Cup and provided an assist for their goal in Monday’s 1-1 draw against Wales.

However, despite the 24-year-old impressing in that contest, he has been well below par over the past 18 months for Chelsea.

Although nine goals and seven assists have still been contributed in all competitions since the start of 2021-22, Pulisic has struggled to hold down a regular spot in the team.

Just five starts have been made this campaign, with a further 13 outings coming from the substitutes’ bench, and it is increasingly likely that the attacker will not extend his contract past 2024.

While a sale could be put off until the summer, Chelsea are in a position where they may hope that Pulisic continues to excel in Qatar in the hope of attracting a suitable offer in January.

According to Fichajes, they are most likely to come from Serie A with Juventus and Inter both said to be monitoring the situation.

The report indicates that Juventus and Inter are both assessing a potential approach with next season in mind, although that may be subject to change given their current efforts this campaign.

Juventus have recently endured an unforeseen revival under Massimiliano Allegri, registering six wins in succession to move into third place in Serie A

However, Juve are still 10 points adrift of leaders Napoli and already out of the Champions League, being left with Europa League football after Christmas.

Although Inter have progressed through to the Champions League last 16, they are two places and one point adrift of Juve, even having won five of their last six fixtures in the league.

Both clubs may have to balance the books before putting forward a proposal for Chelsea, who may realistically consider an initial loan agreement depending on their own transfer plans for January.

As recently as the weekend, it was reported that Chelsea may move for Aston Villa’s Leon Bailey, something which would have ramifications for Pulisic or teammate Hakim Ziyech.
