Chelsea looking to end longest winless run against Manchester United since 1950

Chelsea will be bidding to end their longest winless run against Manchester United since 1950 when they welcome the Red Devils to Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.

The Blues, who are currently top of the Premier League table, will host Man United on Sunday, with Thomas Tuchel’s side looking to record their third straight win in all competitions.

However, Chelsea are winless in their last seven top-flight clashes with Man United, which is their longest run against the 20-time English champions since they went 10 games without a victory between 1938 and 1950.

The last two league meetings between the two sides have finished goalless, including their last meeting at Stamford Bridge back in February.

Chelsea did beat Man United 3-1 in the semi-final of the 2019-2020 FA Cup, but the Blues have not overcome the Manchester club in the league since a 1-0 success at Stamford Bridge in November 2017.

The Red Devils were last victorious at Stamford Bridge in the league back in February 2020, with Anthony Martial and Harry Maguire on the scoresheet in a 2-0 success.
