Brighton & Hove Albion reject Newcastle United bid for Dan Burn?

Brighton & Hove Albion have rejected a bid for Dan Burn from Newcastle United, according to a report.

The Magpies have been active throughout the January transfer window, having already signed Kieran Trippier and Chris Wood, but the club are not wanting to stop there.

Eddie Howe is keen to bring in more players, and with his team having already conceded 43 times this season, the defensive areas are a priority for him at the moment.

According to The Sun, Brighton & Hove Albion have rejected a bid from the Magpies for Burn, with the club offering £10m for the 29-year-old central defender.

The 6ft 7in footballer did grow up as a Newcastle United fan, but that is not going to be enough to lure him to St James Park, despite the fact he is in the final 18 months of his contract.

The Magpies are also interested in Brighton’s Adma Webster, but it remains to be seen whether they will have any more luck attempting to sign him, as the club continue to search for more squad depth.
