Paul Pogba future ‘will not be decided until summer’

The future of Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba will reportedly not be sorted out until the summer.

The World Cup winner has now entered the final six months of his Old Trafford contract and is free to begin discussions with foreign clubs over a free transfer later this year.

Pogba is not expected to head for the exit door in the current transfer window, and journalist Ben Ransom does not expect the France international to make a decision until the summer.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Ransom said: “Pogba I’m sure, Mino Raiola I’m sure will be plotting his future, but at the moment it’s too early for Ralf Rangnick to say what’s going to happen this month.

“He [Rangnick] has hardly seen Pogba – he’s said even now that he’s still a couple of weeks away from fitness. He’s not yet had the opportunity to work with Pogba.

“Given the fact that we’re not expecting Pogba to rejoin full training for another couple of weeks – another couple of weeks for him to be match fit – you’d suggest that points to something being resolved in the summer instead.”

Pogba has seven assists from 13 games in all competitions this season, but Real Madrid are thought to have withdrawn their interest in the 28-year-old.
