Fresh from his brace in the Europa League on Thursday, Marcus Rashford is expected to be in the starting XI for Manchester United‘s Premier League contest with Everton this weekend.

The 24-year-old came off the bench to score twice in the European contest with Omonia in Cyprus, and the double took him onto five goals for the season.

Rashford has also provided three assists in his eight appearances during a productive start to the campaign, and the England international is set to take on Frank Lampard‘s side on Sunday.

Man United will be bidding to return to winning ways in the Premier League following their 6-3 defeat to Manchester City in the Manchester derby last weekend.

Rashford has faced Everton on 13 previous occasions in all competitions and boasts a record of seven wins, four draws and two defeats against them.

The attacker has found the back of the net on two occasions against the Toffees in the Premier League, while he also registered in his only EFL Cup appearance versus the Merseyside giants.

Rashford’s Premier League record against Everton is played 11, won five, drawn four and lost two, while he has also faced them once in the FA Cup, helping the Red Devils win 2-1 in the semi-finals of the 2015-16 competition.

As mentioned, the Englishman also played an important role in Man United beating the Toffees in the quarter-finals of the 2020-21 EFL Cup, finding the back of the net in a 2-0 success for the Red Devils.

Rashford helped Man United record a 1-0 win over Everton in his first appearance against them in 2016, while he tasted victory in four of his first six league matches against the Toffees.

The club’s academy product was on the end of a 4-0 loss to Everton in the league in 2019, though, and he actually failed to score in his first seven matches against the Merseyside club.

Rashford netted home and away against the Toffees during the 2020-21 campaign, with the 20-time English champions winning 3-1 at Goodison Park that particular season.

The Englishman missed Man United’s 1-1 draw with Everton at Old Trafford last term due to injury, but he played 64 minutes of their 1-0 loss at Goodison Park towards the end of the campaign.
