Roma manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly instructed the Italian giants to earmark Diogo Dalot as the club’s number one transfer target.
The 22-year-old is starting to enjoy more game time at Manchester United, playing the full 90 minutes in victories over Arsenal and Crystal Palace.
Dalot continues to be linked with a move away from Old Trafford, though, with his existing deal at Ralf Rangnick‘s side due to expire in 2023.
Mourinho is thought to be desperate to reunite with the right-back, and Gazzetta dello Sport claims that the Roma boss has told technical director Tiago Pinto to make him a priority target.
However, Dalot has always thought to have wanted to fight for his place at Man United, despite impressing during a previous loan spell in Serie A with AC Milan.
The Portugal international boasts one goal and three assists in 44 appearances for the Red Devils since being signed by Mourinho in the summer of 2018.
