How Liverpool could line up against Nottingham Forest

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has no fresh injury concerns to report ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

The Reds secured a 1-0 win over West Ham United on Wednesday for their third victory in a row in all competitions, where Darwin Nunez scored the winner before being taken off after 57 minutes.

Klopp revealed that the striker had been feeling a bit of muscular tightness at half time and was substituted as a precautionary measure, but he should be fine to start again this weekend.

Nunez and Roberto Firmino ought to form their two-man strike partnership again, while Fabio Carvalho can expect to hold his place in the absences of Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz.

Harvey Elliott and his fresh legs may come into contention this weekend, but Mohamed Salah will still expect to feature from the off, as will Thiago Alcantara, who also lasted less than an hour on Wednesday.

One alteration in the engine room could see Fabinho come in for Jordan Henderson, but Klopp now has Curtis Jones and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain fit again, whereas Arthur and Naby Keita are both still sidelined.

Joel Matip and Ibrahima Konate also take up spots in the treatment room, allowing Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk to pair up again, while Kostas Tsimikas is at risk of losing his place to Andy Robertson.

Calvin Ramsay has finally pulled on a Liverpool shirt at Under-21 level, but Trent Alexander-Arnold‘s spot is in no danger for the time being, and Alisson Becker will complete the Reds lineup after yet again coming up with some crucial stops against West Ham.

Liverpool possible starting lineup: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Salah, Fabinho, Thiago, Carvalho; Nunez, Firmino
